MOUNT HARRISON INTERPRETIVE AREA

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP PRESERVE
MOUNT HARRISON'S SPECIAL AREAS AND SPECIES?

  • TREAD LIGHTLY!
  • Please stay on designated roads and trails.
  • CAMP IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY
Dispersed camping is discouraged on the top
    of Mount Harrison.
  • TAKE PHOTOS, NOT FLOWERS!
Picking wildflowers and digging them up damages or
kills the plants and disturbs the habitat.
Please leave the wildflowers for others to enjoy.
  • ENJOY THESE VIEWING SITES
View the Christ's Indian paintbrush plant sites, but please stay on the road to avoid
trampling the plants or disturbing the habitat.
  • AVOID SPREADING NON-NATIVE PLANTS (WEEDS)
Please keep camping equipment and shoes free of weeds and seeds.
Always clean your vehicles and gear after use; weeds can be transferred
    from place to place.
  • YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW WHAT'S IN YOUR BOQUET...
Don't transfer plants from one area to another. Sometime,s the prettiest flowers
    are noxious weeds!
