In tribute to the foresight and willing expenditure of
time, equipment, talent, and resources by men, women,
government agencies and contractors from this and other
areas guided by the hand of God, as they worked shoulder
to shoulder in a race with time to divert an eminent
disaster to lives and home and property in diverting the
overflow flood waters from the Oakley Reservoir safely to
Murtaugh Lake and the Snake River in the spring of 1984.
